Privacy Policy — KIT3

KIT3 ("the App") is a small photo-exchange app for staying in touch with close friends, operated by Andrew Valko. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.

What we collect

• Account: to create an account you provide an email address, a password, and a display name. We use these to sign you in and to show your name to the friends you connect with. Your email and password are never shown to other users, and we don't use your email to contact you except about your account or these terms.
• Photos: the photos you choose to send to your friends each week. Photos are only ever visible to the specific friend(s) you send them to.
• Weekly status (optional): short free-text notes you may add — how you're feeling, what you're listening to, and a location note you type yourself. The App does not access your device's GPS or location services.
• Invites: invite links you create or redeem to connect with a friend.
• Push tokens: a device token so we can send you notifications (e.g. when a friend's photos unlock).

What we don't do

• No advertising, ever. No advertising identifiers.
• No sale or sharing of your data with third parties for their own purposes.
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No access to your contacts, camera roll (beyond the photos you explicitly pick), microphone, or device location.

Who can see your content

Photos and statuses are shared only with the friends you have an explicit, mutual connection with in the App ("KITs"). There is no public feed, no discovery, and no way for strangers to see your content.

Where data is stored

Data is stored and processed using Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging), acting as our processor. See Google's privacy policy. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.

Retention and deletion

Photo drops follow the App's weekly cadence and are automatically deleted after about 45 days. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account in the App — this immediately removes your profile, your photos, and your connections. You can also email Andrew to request deletion.

Feedback you send us

If you send feedback (by shaking your device or from Settings), we receive what you write plus basic technical details — which screen you were on, the app version, your device model, OS version and language — so the report is actionable.

You can also attach a screenshot of the screen you were on. Because KIT3 is a photo app, that screenshot may include photos or messages that were on screen at the time, including a friend's. It is optional: the screenshot is shown to you before you send, and you can remove it with one tap. If you do attach it, it is visible only to Andrew (the operator) for the purpose of fixing the issue, is never shared with anyone else, and is deleted once the issue is resolved. If you'd rather not share it, remove it — your written feedback still sends.

Reporting objectionable content

You can report any photo or comment by pressing and holding it in the App. We review reports and act on them within 24 hours — removing content and, where warranted, suspending or removing the responsible account. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and note it in the App's release notes.
